Milonga Fábrica is THIS Saturday night folks! Tim Raben will be teaching with Aja this month and the theme for the class will be SACADAS! We’ve had lots of requests for this topic lately and Tim is crazy good at them. As always you can pay on the door, or if you want to be super organized you can pay in advance to save time when you arrive.
A weekend of Argentine Tango and Authentic Movement with Brigitta Winkler!
Brigitta Winkler is a tango pioneer. For over 30 years she has been living, dancing, teaching, performing and learning Tango. She is also co-founder of Tango Mujer, an all women tango dance theater. Together with her partners she became a regular teacher in festivals all across the US and Europe. Argentine Tango and Authentic Movement wants to develop a kinesthetic awareness, interpersonal skills, empathy and a sense of embodied presence. For the last 10 years, Brigitta developed and produced programs for TANGO RETREATS in Nature in such spectacular places as Tuscany, Italy, Hawaii and Sweden.

SOMATIC TANGO, principles of developmental movement in tango, 1:30 – 3:00pm
PIVOTAL MOMENTS, change of directions and turns, 3:15 – 4:45pm
SUNDAY SEPT. 11
Conditioning for ONENESS, 1:30 - 3pm
PRACTICE Makes the MASTER, 3 – 5:30pm
Registration is required, no walk-ins.
Vaccination required (bring your card if we haven’t see it already!). Masks are optional.

During PRIDE month this year, Fábrica had the great privilege of participating in a wonderful exhibit sponsored by the Argentine Embassy and hosted by an amazing team of organizers at the Dupont Underground. Dupont Underground is a wonderful art space in the heart of the city who’s mission is to inspire and strengthen thought-provoking dialogue among artists and the community. During PRIDE the Fábrica team taught 4 weeks of Queer Tango to a wonderful crowd of newcomers.
